Who is starting for the Mets?

Chris Bassitt, who is making his Mets debut. The 33-year-old spent his last six seasons with the Oakland A’s, earning an All-Star nod in 2021. Finishing in the Top 10 of AL Cy Young voting each of the past two years, Bassitt pitched to a 3.44 ERA and a1.192 WHIP during his time in Oakland.

Who is starting for the Nationals?

Joan Adon, a 23-year-old right-hander who will be making just his second career major league start. Adon made his first start last October against he Boston Red Sox, allowing two earned runs on six hits over 5.1 innings while striking out nine and walking three.
