Thursday's weather-suspended game between the Mets and Miami Marlins will not be completed, MLB announced Sunday.
While the game was a possibility to resume Monday at 1:10 p.m. from Citi Field, the result no longer carries postseason ramifications and the Marlins will proceed with NL Wild Card prep.
Statistics from the game will count, but MLB has not revealed the final result -- win, loss or tie.
The Mets (74-87) trailed the Marlins (84-77) 2-1 with one out in the top of the ninth inning.
Before the Marlins' two-run ninth, the Mets led 1-0 thanks to Rafael Ortega's one-out RBI single.
On the mound, David Peterson scattered four hits while striking out eight and walking four in seven scoreless innings.
