The Mets placed RHP Robert Gsellman on the 10-day IL with triceps tightness and recalled RHP Walker Lockett from Triple-A Syracuse. ... Wilson Ramos is currently on an 11-game hitting streak, tied for the longest active in the majors. ... Amed Rosario had nine hits between Wednesday and Thursday, which tied a Mets two-day record.

Who is starting for the Mets?

RHP Jacob deGrom (7-7 overall, 2.68 ERA) starts for the Mets. After allowing three runs in the first inning of his last start, he settled in and tossed four more scoreless innings in a 7-4 loss to the Nationals. In his last 15 starts since May 22, deGrom has a 1.97 ERA, which is the second best in the majors in that time span. 

Who is starting for the Royals?

RHP Jakob Junis (8-10 overall, 4.80 ERA) is on the hill for the Royals. In six inning of work in his last start, Junis allowed two runs against the Tigers. It was his second-straight win. Junis has never faced the Mets in his career.
