Mets infielder Jonathan Villar left Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against the Atlanta Braves with right calf tightness after hitting a double down the right field line in the sixth inning.

Villar grimaced rounding first and then exited the game, as Jose Peraza came in to pinch run for him.

Villar is batting .246 with six home runs and 15 RBI over 183 at-bats in 61 games this season.

After the game, manager Luis Rojas gave an update on Villar's status.

"I just saw him in the training room, that's why I'm a little later to talk to you guys," Rojas said. "He's got right calf tightness right now. He's getting seen, he's getting treated. We'll reassess tomorrow and see how he is. It just felt tight out there, we didn't want to risk it. It's the same leg he had the hamstring issue a couple weeks ago. He's getting treated, he's going to be reevaluated tomorrow and we'll see how he's doing."

Rojas mentioned that the team was cautious because of his prior injury, but did not indicate the two injuries were related.
