In this Mets post game news conference, Edwin Diaz said that preserving the Mets 1-0 lead in the ninth inning for his 200th career save, "means a lot, not too many people reach 200 saves their first few years in the big leagues." Diaz had to fight through a difficult ninth inning, even walking two batters but regained his composure to achieve his milestone. He reiterated how exciting it is when the bullpen gate opens and "everybody goes crazy, I can feel it when I'm going to the mound."
