Mets Notes

  • The Mets look to sweep the Diamondbacks in Arizona for the first time since 2014.
  • With the win on Wednesday, the Mets won back-to-back series for the first time since mid-May against Tampa Bay and Cleveland.
  • Since the start of 2022, the Mets have now won 11 games after trailing in the ninth inning.
  • Francisco Alvarez homered for the second straight day to tie the game in the ninth inning of Wednesday's win. On Tuesday, he set a new franchise record for home runs (now with 15 on the season) by a rookie catcher.
  • The homer along with a go-ahead triple from Mark Canha was the first sequence of a game-tying home run and a go-ahead triple in franchise history.
