Mets RHP Dellin Betances has been placed on the 10-day IL with a right shoulder impingement.

RHP Trevor Hildenberger was selected to the Major League roster to take Betances' spot.

Betances made his 2021 debut on Wednesday night in a loss to the Phillies. He didn't give up a hit but one run still came across after he hit a batter with pitch, walked another, and Bryce Harper grounded out following a double steal.

Betances has had a multitude of injuries over his career, but a right shoulder impingement is one he has dealt with in the past.

He's also dealt with a lat injury and a torn Achilles upon his return in 2019 to the Yankees kept him out for most of the 2019 season.

Prior to this injury, Betances' velocity was noticeably down.
