Prior to the Mets game against the Braves on Sunday afternoon, the team completed two previous trades from earlier in the season.

The team added INF Victor Gonzalez to the 60-Man Player Pool, and then sent him to the Baltimore Orioles to complete the trade for RHP Miguel Castro on Aug. 31. Gonzalez was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Mets on July 2, 2019.

Then the Mets added RHP Stephen Villines to the 60-Man Player Pool, before sending him to the Texas Rangers to complete the trade for RHP Ariel Jurado on Aug. 5.

Villines was selected by the Mets in the 10th round of the 2017 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Kansas. He's gone 10-7 with a 2.67 ERA and 191 strikeouts over three minor league seasons.

Additionally, RHP Yefry Ramirez was released from the team's 60-Man Player Pool.
