In front of a sellout crowd, David Wright returned to the Mets lineup and received a sendoff from the Citi Field faithful before Austin Jackson delivered a walk-off double in the 13th inning to lead the Mets to a 1-0 win over the Marlins on Saturday night.

Things you should know about tonight's game...
1) Ahead of his first start since May 27, 2016, Wright sat behind home plate and caught the ceremonial first pitch from his daughter, Olivia Shea Wright. Soon after, he emerged from the dugout to take the field, alone, to loud cheers from the packed crowd. The captain walked in his first plate appearance and fouled out down the first base line his second time up. He also fielded a ground ball at third and threw out the runner.
2) Wright was removed from the game in the top of the fifth inning and saluted the fans, greeted his teammates, and walked off the field. He then re-appeared from the dugout for one final curtain call.

3) Jose Reyes, who started in the same lineup as Wright for the first time since Sept. 28, 2011, finished 1-for-5 with a leadoff double and a sacrifice bunt.
4) LHP Steven Matz allowed just three hits in six scoreless innings. He struck out eight batters and threw 97 pitches in his final start of the season. Tyler Bashlor, Drew Smith, Anthony Swarzak, Jerry Blevins, Jacob Rhame, and Daniel Zamora strung together six more scoreless innings in relief.
5) Michael Conforto led off the bottom of the 13th inning with a double and Jack Reinheimer walked to set up Jackson's walk-off double.
6) Brandon Nimmo left the game in the seventh inning with an apparent leg injury.
Mets Notes...
Wright played his 1,572nd game at third base for the Mets, which is the 11th-most for a player on one MLB team.
Wright walked for the 762nd time in his career, which extended his own franchise record ... Wright also is has the most hits (1,777), runs (949), doubles, (390), total bases (2,945), extra-base hits (658), and go-ahead homers (87).
Wright and Reyes started together for the 878th time. The pair's first game together was on July 21, 2004 against the Expos at Shea Stadium.
Citi Field was sold out for the fourth time this season ... The 43,928 fans in attendance ranked sixth on the list of largest crowds in regular season history at Citi Field.

The Mets will conclude their 2018 slate against the Marlins on Sunday afternoon at 3:10 p.m. Sandy Alcantara will start for Miami, while Noah Syndergaard will pitch for the Mets.
