Mets manager Carlos Mendoza admitted his video replay team missed challenging a call in the first inning that would have prevented the Angels' first run in an eventual 4-3 loss but felt the team missed several opportunities to score throughout the latter portion of the game. Nolan McLean pitched perhaps his worst game as a Met, lasting just four innings and attributed much of his sub-par outing to falling behind in counts. Bo BIchette was disappointed with his own at-bats, not coming through with men in scoring position. Mendoza provided more bad news on the injury front with Ronny Mauricio now sidelined with a fractured thumb.
