The Mets begin the regular season on July 24 at Citi Field against the Atlanta Braves, with a few more intrasquad games in the coming days, followed by a short exhibition slate.

As was the case when Summer Camp began at the beginning of July, there aren't many position battles.

But some key absences expected in the projected bullpen and one giant injury scare to Jacob deGrom have thrown the roster into a bit of late flux.

Here's our Mets 30-man roster prediction 3.0...

REGULAR LINEUP

Wilson Ramos, C
Pete Alonso, 1B
Robinson Cano, 2B
Amed Rosario, SS
Jeff McNeil, 3B
J.D. Davis, LF
Brandon Nimmo, CF
Michael Conforto, RF
Yoenis Cespedes, DH

Cano was absent from camp for roughly a week, but he returned a few days ago and has looked smooth in the batting cage and when taking grounders at second base. Manager Luis Rojas has seemed optimistic that Cano will be ready for Opening Day, and that readiness will likely be confirmed if he enters intrasquad and/or exhibition games later this week.

The only other question mark is Cespedes, who recently proclaimed himself ready and played the outfield during the Mets' intrasquad game on Wednesday. So it seems to be all systems go for Ces, who can DH and likely play some left field during the regular season.

STARTING ROTATION

Jacob deGrom, RHP
Marcus Stroman, RHP
Steven Matz, LHP
Rick Porcello, RHP
Michael Wacha, RHP

The Mets got a scare when deGrom exited Tuesday's intrasquad game after just one inning, but an MRI came back clean, with deGrom diagnosed with muscle tightness and given a timeline of day-to-day.

Whether deGrom takes the ball on Opening Day remains to be seen, but unless there's a setback, he appears on track to get the ball at some point during the first week of the season.

BULLPEN

Edwin Diaz, RHP
Dellin Betances, RHP
Jeurys Familia, RHP
Justin Wilson, LHP
Seth Lugo, RHP
Robert Gsellman, RHP
Walker Lockett, RHP
Tyler Bashlor, RHP
Daniel Zamora, LHP
Hunter Strickland, RHP

The 'pen is where we have some changes.

Brad Brach and Jared Hughes were both placed on the 10-day IL on Wednesday after being absent since the start of camp. The Mets, who are not giving specifics on players who are absent due to non-baseball injuries, did not provide additional information.

At this moment, it's fair to believe Brach and Hughes will not be available for Opening day, which would mean at least one and likely two open spots in the bullpen.

We're giving one of those spots to hard-throwing Tyler Bashlor and the other to Walker Lockett, who can be a long-reliever or spot-starter.

BENCH

Dominic Smith, 1B/OF
Jake Marisnick, OF
Luis Guillorme, INF
Tomas Nido, C
Rene Rivera, C
Melky Cabrera, OF

The bench remains the same as it was during our roster prediction 2.0, with Eduardo Nunez on the outside looking in along with prospect Andres Gimenez and other bubble players such as Gordon Beckham.

If the Mets decide to only carry two catchers, an additional bench spot would likely open up.
