The 2024 MLB regular season schedule has been released for all 30 teams as Opening Day for the Mets and the rest of the league is scheduled for Thursday, March 28.
New York will start its campaign at home against the Milwaukee Brewers for a three-game set. After their opener on Thursday, the Mets will have an off-day on Friday before finishing the series over the weekend. They will then welcome the Detroit Tigers for three, beginning the season with a six-game homestand.
The Amazins’ won’t play a division opponent until April 8 when they travel to Atlanta to take on the Braves for four games. In fact, that will be the only series the Mets play against an NL East rival in March/April. Their next divisional matchup will come on May 10 at home against the Braves once again.
After that, New York will play a home-and-away series against the Philadelphia Phillies before three against the Miami Marlins.
Other notable games for the Mets are on June 8-9 when they play the Phillies in London, June 25-26 when they welcome the Yankees to Citi Field for the first installment of the Subway Series and July 23-24 when they return the favor and travel to the Bronx to play the Yanks at Yankee Stadium.
The Mets will have a few West Coast road trips, most notably a nine-game trip in early August when they travel to Los Angeles to face the Angels, Colorado to take on the Rockies and Seattle to play the Mariners for the first time on the road since 2017.
