Sabrina Ionescu has been named the WNBA's Eastern Conference Player of the Month for June.

The Liberty guard averaged 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.2 steals and a league-leading 7.4 assists in 33.9 minutes per game during the team's 11 games in the month.

Ionescu shot 43.2 percent on 16 attempts per game (37.4 percent from three on 8.3 attempts) to lead New York to a 10-1 record in June, which set the franchise record for winning percentage in a month.

And in that span, the Liberty posted a plus-18.3 net rating with the former Oregon standout on the court.

Ionescu's best stretch of play came across a four-day period when the Liberty scored back-to-back home wins over Las Angeles and a win at Atlanta. Over the three games, the guard averaged 27.0 points on 53.7 percent shooting with 9.7 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 34.6 minutes.

In June, Ionescu also became the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 300 made three-pointers (117 games), besting Diana Taurasi's previous mark of 124. And she pushed her streak of consecutive games with at least one made three to 44, the longest active streak in the league and third-longest of all time.

This is her third honor of the season after being named the Eastern Conference’s Player of the Week in late May and mid-June.

This is the third time Ionescu has won Player of the Month honors in her career, after doing so in June and August of 2022.
