The Knicks have signed Seton Hall standout G Myles Powell as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NBA Draft, SNY's Ian Begley confirmed.

The 23-year-old guard is one of the most decorated players to come out of the Big East, let alone the Pirates' system. A consensus All-America First-Team award winner and Big East Player of the Year last season, Powell averaged 35.4 points per game as well as 5.7 assists and 7.2 rebounds.

Powell's rise to fame across the country came in his junior season, though, when Seton Hall made a Big East title run that ended is a very close loss to Villanova, 74-72, at Madison Square Garden.

Now MSG could be Powell's NBA home if he can crack the roster. Powell's poor shooting numbers despite his scoring totals last season took a hit to his draft stock. He may have gotten his name called if he left after that 2018-19 campaign, but he wanted to return to Seton Hall to try and raise his stock. That backfired.

But the Trenton, NJ native now has the chance very close to home to make a name for himself in the league. He's a pure scorer and someone the Knicks might covet if he can improve his defensive skills and become a more well-rounded player
