The Knicks recently had a conversation with the Orlando Magic about a trade involving Evan Fournier, sources told SNY's Ian Begley.

Per Begley, it is unclear if the discussion reached an advanced stage.

Fournier, 28, is averaging a career-high 19.1 points per game this season for the Magic, and is shooting a shade over 38 percent from behind the arc.

He is set to become an unrestricted free agent after the season.

The Knicks, who have struggled to score at times this season -- especially lately with Derrick Rose out due to COVID-19 -- could use another player who can spread the floor.

Rose should be back soon to help Bolster the Knicks' scoring attack, but Fournier would give the Knicks another threat to go along with Rose, Julius Randle and RJ Barrett.
