The NBA announced Thursday that Knicks forward Julius Randle has been fined for throwing the ball into the stands following the team’s double-overtime win over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.
The All-Star will have to pay $15,000, as announced by Byron Spruell, President of League Operations.The Knicks and Randle agreed to a four-year, $117 million contract extension back in August.
Randle dropped 35 points in the Knicks’ season opener and was an assist and two rebounds shy of a triple-double. Randle and the Knicks will look to go 2-0 in the early season when they travel to Orlando on Friday to face the Magic.
