Immanuel Quickley cleared health and safety protocols Friday, the Knicks announced. However, head coach Tom Thibodeau told reporters Friday, Quickley is unlikely to play for New York in Saturday's Christmas game against Atlanta.

The Knicks (14-18) host the Hawks (15-16) at noon from MSG.

Quickley's return follows Thursday's announcement that RJ Barrett and Quentin Grimes cleared protocols. Thibodeau added Friday that Barrett, after getting more work in, could end up playing against Atlanta.

Neither Barrett nor Grimes played in Thursday's game against the Washington Wizards, a 124-117 loss.

Through 29 games, Quickley is averaging 10.2 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 21.8 minutes.

Kevin Knox cleared health and safety protocols on Saturday and rejoined the team.

Jericho Sims was ruled out for the team's Christmas Day game against the Atlanta Hawks due to health and safety protocols. Miles McBride and Nerlens Noel are the other remaining Knicks in protocols.
