The Knicks went into Tuesday night’s win over the Cleveland Cavaliers thin at guard, and that could once again be the case on Thursday when the Knicks visit the Raptors in Tampa.
Per the team, point guards Frank Ntilikina (sprained right knee) and Dennis Smith Jr. (left quad) are both out, as are forwards Obi Toppin (right calf) and Omari Spellman (right knee).
Head coach Tom Thibodeau said Wednesday that Ntilikina injured his knee during the first quarter of New York’s 95-86 win over the Cavs on Tuesday, but played through it, totaling five points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 16 minutes. According to Thibodeau, Ntilikina is day-to-day and the injury isn’t considered serious.
