With the NBA trade deadline in the past, the Cleveland Cavaliers and All-Star C Andre Drummond are working on a buyout, per Yahoo! Sports Chris Haynes.
Per SNY's Ian Begley, there is one prominent voice within the Knicks organization who sees Drummond as a fit for the team. But a "majority of the organization" doesn't feel the same way, sources told him.
However, the Knicks can do what teams like the Nets and Los Angeles Lakers -- two teams reportedly interested in Drummond's services -- can't. If they wish, the Knicks can offer Drummond a multi-year deal because of their cap situation. The Athletic's John Hollinger reported the Knicks could offer a four-year deal worth $64 million (those numbers are before the three-way trade New York made with Philadelphia and Oklahoma City).
