The Knicks have agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with free agent center Isaiah Hartenstein, SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley confirms.

The Athletic was the first to report Hartenstein and the Knicks agreeing to a deal.

Hartenstein, 24, was originally drafted by the Houston Rockets in the second round of the 2017 NBA Draft, has played four seasons in the league, suiting up with Houston, Denver, Cleveland, and the Los Angeles Clippers.

For his career, the Eugene, Ore. native has averaged 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists. His best season was his most recent, as he averaged 8.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in nearly 18 minutes per game for the Clippers.

SNY NBA Insider Ian Begley reported on Wednesday that the Knicks have been in touch with backup centers, signaling the team is confident in re-signing Mitchell Robinson as their starter.
