If there’s one thing Tom Thibodeau did wrong this season, it was sticking with Elfrid Payton for too long in the playoffs. The Knicks need to find another guard, and Bouknight has the skill set to play right away. As time passes, Bouknight could develop into someone who could run the offense.

21^st pick: Cameron Thomas, guard (LSU)

The Knicks could also use a player who can spark offense after running stagnant too often last season. Thomas is an energizer who can thrive off the bench early in his career.

19^th pick: Isaiah Jackson, power forward/center (Kentucky)

Physically there's a lot to like about Isaiah Jackson: He has a 7-3 wingspan and can jump over the moon. But he's still fairly limited offensively and there are concerns he may never hold up defending some of the more physically imposing bigs in the NBA. Nonetheless, his production around the rim on both ends of the court could be a value add for a Knicks team potentially willing to invest as potential Mitchell Robinson insurance if they don't want to extend him long-term.

21^st pick: Tre Mann, guard (Florida)

The Knicks were a great story this season but the playoffs proved their offense is ... fairly limited. Tre Mann at No. 21 feels like good value as a potential add to help on that front. He made 40.2% from 3-point range at Florida last season and has the offensive versatility to add a little on and off the ball as a scorer and creator.

19^th pick: Isaiah Jackson, power forward/center (Kentucky)

Sign me up. There are very few things that are unteachable in the game of basketball. Blocking shots is one of them. Jackson has a natural ability to hunt and divert shots. In the right situation, this could be a Dennis Rodman type player. He’s a hot mess on offense, but what Jackson can do on a court is pure instincts. If you can teach him some basic pick-and-roll sets and get him in the weight room, this could be a game-changing steal.

New York finally is building something. They need more versatility in the backcourt and more shooters, but Jackson is one of those players who brings a defensive mindset to the table and would instantly fit into Thibs' system. There are questions as to whether he’ll return to Kentucky, but if he stays in the draft, he could go anywhere from 10 to 20.

21^st pick: Jared Butler, guard (Baylor)

3-pointer? Check. Ability to distribute? Check. NBA body? Check. Butler is one of those veteran college players who makes an impact at the next level. He knows who he is and he has a game that translates. He’s also a big-time winner who helped Baylor take home a National Championship.

The Knicks have a lot of work to do in the summer, but finding a mature guard who can step in and play early might take some of the strain off the franchise. Butler was a heck of a player at the NCAA level and that mentality might translate to the NBA.

Jonathan Wasserman, Bleacher Report

19^th pick: Chris Duarte, shooting guard (Oregon)

His age (23) will turn some off, but scouts talk about Duarte as a plug-and-play guard or wing based on his shot-making versatility (and accuracy) and toughness. He could be a cheap replacement if Alec Burks or Reggie Bullock sign elsewhere.

21^st pick: Usman Garuba, power forward/center (Spain)

We have the Knicks taking Garuba at No. 21, but if they aren't able to package this pick with No. 19 to move up, it wouldn't be surprising if they traded it outright, knowing they pick again at No. 32. It's highly unlikely they keep all three selections. Regardless, Garuba is a coach Tom Thibodeau-type player, given his elite defensive IQ.
