Jets GM Joe Douglas said he and his team will be looking over the waiver wire with a fine tooth comb, and that's exactly what he did on Sunday with a few waiver claims.

Here's the Jets' moves confirmed by SNY's Ralph Vacchiano...

K Kaare Vedvik

You might remember this name from earlier this offseason, and that's because the Jets tried to strike a deal with the Ravens before the Vikings sent a fifth-round pick to Baltimore for him. But Minnesota wasn't happy with his results, and after three weeks, they cut him.

Vedvik can kick and punt, but with Taylor Bertolet being cut, he'll be their new kicker. The Jets haven't had much success in that department so far this summer, so Vedvik is the hopeful fix to that situation.

CB/S Bennett Jackson

More cornerback help is on the way in the form of Jackson, who was waived by the Ravens. The Notre Dame product and Hazlet, NJ native is back at MetLife Stadium having been a draft pick by the Giants back in 2014.

Jackson has been done in by injuries throughout his career, which is why he has yet to see the field in a regular season game. He was actually set to start safety for the Giants back in 2016, but a torn ACL in the final preseason game against the Jaguars ruined that. It could be a full circle moment for the 28-year-old if he were to play at the Meadowlands, but this time it'll be in green and white.

WR Braxton Berrios

The speedy slot receiver/special teamer was released by the Patriots, but the sixth-round pick has a home in the AFC East still. The Jets could definitely use him as a punt or kick returner given his specialty in that department. The Miami grad has yet to see regular season action as well.

DE John Franklin

A 2018 draft pick to the Rams, Franklin played in every game for Los Angeles last season where he totaled two sacks and 10 combined tackles. But the Rams have moved on from him, and with the Jets needing more depth when it comes to pass rushers, DC Gregg Williams has another player to work with at the position.

RB Josh Adams

Adams was an undrafted rookie last season and began the year on the Eagles' practice squad. But he ended up playing 14 games with the Eagles, including five starts, and led the team in rushing with 511 yards. He also had three touchdowns as well.

The Notre Dame product joins the Jets' practice squad this time around with the team's crowded backfield at the moment, but you never know what Adams could give the team if injuries do start to plague the roster.
