The Jets are adding a local kid to their secondary.

Gang Green has reached an agreement with safety Andre Cisco on a one-year, $10 million deal -- as confirmed by SNY NFL Insider Connor Hughes.

Cisco grew up in Valley Stream, NY and he played his college ball at Syracuse University -- where he was the first true freshman in program history to earn All-American honors.

Despite tearing his ACL during his sophomore season, he decided to forgo his remaining college eligibility to enter the NFL Draft, where he ultimately landed with the Jaguars in the third-round.

After playing more of a reserve role his first year in the league, Cisco quickly developed into a key piece on the backend of Jacksonville's defense.

He is coming off the worst season of his career but presents a low-risk, high-reward addition for Aaron Glenn's defense.

The 24-year-old has three forced fumbles, eight interceptions (one pick-six), 24 pass breakups, and 229 tackles in 63 games.

Cisco is now New York's second addition to their secondary on just the first day of free agency -- and he figures to slot in alongside Tony Adams as the starting safety with Chuck Clark, Jalen Mills, and Ashtyn Davis hitting the open market this offseason.
