Jets LB C.J. Mosley is not expected to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots, though head coach Robert Saleh called it a game-time decision.

On the injury report, Mosley was listed as doubtful. But the Jets were going to take it down to the wire to see if he was good to go. He was seen at Gillette Stadium doing pregame warmups with coaches looking on, however it wasn't full speed for the veteran backer.

Mosley is obviously a huge piece of the Jets' defensive unit, calling the shots in the middle of the field and currently leading the team in tackles.

With Mosley sidelined, it's perfect timing that Jarrad Davis is expected to make his Jets regular-season debut after spending the first few weeks on the IR. During training camp, the Jets were excited to see these two veterans -- Davis was signed as a free agent after spending his first four seasons with the Detroit Lions -- together up the middle.

Now, though, it will be up to Davis (if he plays) and Quincy Williams, who's second in tackles right behind Mosley -- to get the job done at linebacker. Jamien Sherwood is also in the mix.
