Jamal Adams is itching for some game action.
The Jets safety was asked about the team's upcoming preseason game with the Giants on Thursday night and if he's ready to hit somebody that plays for a different team.
"Most definitely," he said. "I don't care who you're lining up, I'm gonna hit ya. I love it."
Adams, 23, is gearing up for his third NFL season and coming off his first career Pro Bowl season, but with new additions like Quinnen Williams and CJ Mosley and a new defensive coordinator in Gregg Williams, Adams said the goal is to make sure everyone is on the same page.
"Communication," Adams said. "That's the main thing. For offense, defense, special teams -- communicating and playing fast. Running to the ball and obviously making plays. As long as we can do that and be consistent with that, we'll be fine."
