Jets 2025 NFL Mock Draft Roundup: Popular offensive tackle could be destined for Gang Green

Who will the Jets take with the seventh overall pick?

After going through an extensive search following their separation from GM Joe Douglas, the Jets decided to take a shot on assistant GM Darren Mougey from the Denver Broncos.

Mougey held various positions during his journey through the organization, and he now comes to the Big Apple where he'll be tasked with helping turn around a squad that finished 5-12 last season and hasn't made the playoffs in 14 years.

With the first wave of free agency done with, his next task is to tackle the NFL Draft.

After another rough season, Gang Green currently holds the seventh overall pick in the 2025 edition of the draft.

Here's what the experts have them doing...

OT Armand Membou, Missouri

A playmaker on either side of the ball might be tempting, but their new regime is focused on building a foundation. That starts with the front, where the quick-footed Membou arguably has the most upside of any tackle prospect in the class.

OT Armand Membou, Missouri

The Jets have high hopes for last year’s first-round tackle, Olu Fashanu, as a "dancing bear" pass protector on the blind side. Here’s a perfect opportunity to complete the bookend set with an RT prospect who offers rare athleticism and bully spirit in a 332-pound frame.

Coincidentally, Aaron Glenn’s first draft in Detroit began with the selection of an offensive tackle at No. 7 overall (Penei Sewell).

TE Colston Loveland, Michigan

No. 21 pick via trade with Pittsburgh Steelers

Moving from No. 7 to No. 21 is a steep jump, but with an extra third-round pick and a future first-rounder added to the mix, the New York Jets could be smart to stockpile on picks to retool their roster post-Aaron Rodgers.

Though overshadowed by Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland is a top-tier talent. He’s a smooth athlete who stretches the field and thrives on seam routes. His pass-catching ability makes him a strong first-round pick.

OT Armand Membou, Missouri

Justin Fields should have a solid offensive line in New York this season, but the Jets still need a long-term solution at right tackle. Membou's film, experience and technique were already worthy of top-10 consideration, but his stellar workout at the NFL Scouting Combine was the cherry on top that makes this a home-run pick.

OT Armand Membou, Missouri

The Jets have a glaring hole at right tackle and the best one in the draft is staring them in the face at this spot in Membou. With him and Justin Fields added to this offense, the run game should be much improved under new offensive coordinator Tanner Engstrand.

Marcus Mosher, 33rd Team

TE Tyler Warren, Penn State

Will Campbell and Armand Membou would be easy selections at No. 7 for the Jets, but both are off the board here. The Jets take Warren, who would pair nicely with Garrett Wilson and would give Justin Fields a big target in the passing game.

Warren is an all-around playmaker and should easily be a top-10 tight end by as soon as 2026.
