Who is starting for the Yankees?

LHP James Paxton (12-6, 4.16 ERA), who is coming off one of his best starts as a Yankee in his previous outing. He faced the Rangers and threw seven scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and striking out 12 hittters. He's also picked up the win in each of his last seven starts. The first start of that streak came against the Red Sox on Aug. 2, where he allowed two runs on two hits over six innings.

Who is starting for the Red Sox?

LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (17-5, 3.81 ERA), who also threw seven scoreless innings in his last start. He earned the win against the Twins, allowing five hits and striking out eight, while walking four hitters. He opposed Paxton in his last outing against the Yankees on Aug. 2, when the Bombers got to him for four runs on five hits over 6.2 innings.

Upcoming schedule

The Yankees will travel to Detroit on Tuesday to begin a three-game series against the Tigers. The Yankees have not announced a starter and will likely use an opener, while they'll face Edwin Jackson (3-9, 9.16 ERA).
