Jacob deGrom just keeps on crossing new milestones this season. This time around, deGrom has been named NL Pitcher of the Month -- his second award of the season.

Across five starts for the Mets in June, deGrom went 3-0 with 40 strikeouts, just four walks and a 0.67 ERA over 27.0 innings of work.

DeGrom became the first Met to ever win the same award twice in one season. Both awards this season were the first two in his career -- a shocking stat considering he's a two-time Cy Young award winner.

The Mets ace has been nothing short of that this season. At one point, deGrom posted a 31.0 inning scoreless streak, matching the third longest in franchise history.

His 0.50 ERA through his first 12 starts of the season is the lowest by a pitcher in MLB history. He also became the first pitcher in history to deliver at least 110 strikeouts and fewer than five earned runs in a 12-game stretch.

DeGrom is the heavy odds on favorite to win his third Cy Young award in four seasons, and is also the current favorite to win NL MVP.

Sean Manaea of the Oakland Athletics was named AL Pitcher of the Month as well.
