Michael Dal Colle is sticking with the Islanders.
After playing two games with the Isles as an emergency recall, the club announced Friday that Dal Colle is now a regular recall and will remain with the NHL squad. Josh Ho-Sang, who was also up on an emergency basis but didn't dress for either of the Islanders' wins against Ottawa, was returned to AHL Bridgeport.
Barry Trotz praised Dal Colle earlier this week and he has provided a spark while playing on a line with Mathew Barzal and Anthony Beauvillier, who scored in Thursday's win. Dal Colle, who had four points in 20 NHL games earlier this season, recorded an assist on Tuesday. The winger has 18 goals and 16 assists in 34 games with Bridgeport.
The Isles have now used two of their four post-deadline recalls, the other being Devon Toews.
