The Islanders should see D Ryan Pulock back on the ice Tuesday night against the Ottawa Senators.

Pulock has missed the last 25 games for the Isles due to a lower-body injury, but the team has activated him from the long-term injured reserve. This sets him up to make his return on Tuesday.

Robin Salo, who has been playing well in his absence, was no longer listed on the roster as Newsday's Andrew Gross pointed out.

The rookie Salo played 18 games with New York, posting a minus-4 with one goal and three assists in that span.

But head coach Barry Trotz is certainly going to like that one of his top four defensemen are back on the ice together. We'll see if he breaks up Adam Pelech and Scott Mayfield to put Pulock on the top line, or leave him on the second with Zdeno Chara

in 12 games this season, the 27-year-old Pulock posted a minus-2 with two assists.
