The Islanders' 2020-21 season schedule has been released, and hockey is right around the corner for the blue and orange.

And what's better than starting off the season against a big rival in the Rangers? The Isles will take on the Blueshirts on Jan. 14 to kick off the new campaign, and have another game against them two days later.

The first home game will be against the Boston Bruins on Jan. 18, and then the Devils travel to the Islanders for a two-game set.

The season has not only been condensed to 56 games this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but divisions have also been altered.

So the Islanders will only be playing teams in the East Division, which consists of the Rangers, Devils, Bruins, Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres, Philadelphia Flyers, and Washington Capitals.
