The Giants announced Tuesday that they have waived CB Sam Beal.
Beal was a third-round supplemental draft pick by GM Dave Gettleman back in 2018. He was highly thought of coming out of Western Michigan, with some believing he would've been a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Giants jump on the possibility that Beal could turn out to be that type of player for them, forfeiting a third-round pick in that 2019 Draft in the process.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case from the start, as Beal suffered a shoulder injury that ended his rookie campaign. And then he had to go back on the IR in 2019 due to a hamstring injury.
