Odell Beckham Jr. is returning to the Giants.

The former first-round pick who spent the first five seasons of his NFL career with Big Blue is signing with New York, SNY NFL Insider Connor Hughes confirmed.

Beckham worked out for the Giants before the 2026 NFL Draft and then again on Monday, when New York worked out a host of veteran receivers -- including Braxton Berrios, who later inked a one-year deal.

Beckham will add a veteran presence to the Giants' wide receiver room and an offense led by second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart. The 33-year-old can also serve as a mentor to third-year WR Malik Nabers as he finishes up his rehab from a torn ACL -- an injury Beckham sustained in the first half of Super Bowl LVI in 2022 and during the 2020 season.

Beckham, who did not sign with a team during the 2025 season, last appeared in a game on Dec. 8, 2024, during an ill-fated one-year stint with Miami that saw him tally just nine catches for 55 yards and no touchdowns in nine games before he was released. He went unsigned despite speculation of joining a playoff-bound team later that year.

The return to Big Blue will also be a reunion for Beckham and new Giants head coach John Harbaugh, as the two worked together during the 2023 season in Baltimore, where Beckham hauled in 64 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.

Harbaugh had praise for the veteran wide receiver during the NFL Annual Meeting in late March.

"The obvious, pad answer would be you look at every option, right? And if Odell’s an option, then we’ll be looking at it for sure," Harbaugh said of what at that point was a potential signing. "And he and I do talk, we do text, we’ve maintained a really great relationship. He's one of my very favorite people in the world, so it’s not like you don’t talk to guys about things like that, and certainly we have. We’ll just have to see where it all goes, what’s best for him, what’s best for the Giants.

“That’s the number one thing, is what’s best for our team. Any player, If he helps you be a better team and can make you better, then you’re going to pursue that, but we’ll have to see where that goes."

Beckham, a three-time Pro-Bowler with the Giants, played 59 games during his five seasons with the team after he was the 12th overall pick in the 2014 draft. He was the Offensive Rookie of the Year that season as he hauled in 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns, including a memorable one-handed grab on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.

He had 5,476 yards on 390 receptions (14.0 yards per reception) with 44 touchdowns during his first stint in New York. He signed a five-year, $95 million extension with the Giants in August ahead of the 2018 season, but was then dealt to Cleveland in March 2019 along with Olivier Vernon in exchange for Jabrill Peppers, Kevin Zeitler, and a first- and third-round draft pick. (The Giants used the first-round pick to select Dexter Lawrence.)

Beckham’s time with the Browns was mixed and he was traded to Los Angeles in the middle of the 2021 season, helping the Rams win a title that year. After a 113-yard day in the NFC Championship Game, Beckham had 52 yards on two catches and a touchdown during the first half of the Super Bowl, before sustaining a torn ACL.

Injuries have been a big issue in keeping the electric talent from the field. A broken ankle robbed him of all but four games during the 2017 season, and he missed games in all but one year during his first stint with the Giants. In addition to the two ACL injuries, the latter of which kept him sidelined for the entire 2022 season, injuries limited him to 14 games with the Ravens in 2023, and an unspecified injury held him out for the first four games of 2024.

Last season, Beckham announced that he had been suspended for six games for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy in October. He served that suspension while remaining a free agent.

Over his 10 seasons, he has 7,987 yards on 575 catches (13.9 yards per catch) with 59 touchdowns. He has another 29 catches for 350 yards (12.1 yards per catch) and two touchdowns in seven career postseason games.
