Matt Harvey's introduction to the American League hasn't gone as planned.

The former Mets ace, who signed with the Los Angeles Angels this offseason, was bounced in the third inning of Thursday's start against the Twins, allowing eight earned runs on seven hits.

The Twins blasted four home runs off of Harvey in just 2.2 innings, and just about every ball that they put in play was hit hard.

Matt Harvey allowed 14 batted balls today.

Of those 14 batted balls, nine were hit 95 mph or harder. His season ERA is now 7.50.

Today's outing wasn't an outlier for Harvey either. He's struggled all season long, with this latest poor start raising his season ERA from 6.35 to a whopping 7.50. He's been tagged for five runs or more in five of his ten starts this season for LA.

The Dark Knight has fallen upon dark times over the last three-plus seasons. Since posting a 13-8 record with the Mets in 2015, Harvey has a combined record of 18-29 with the Mets, Reds, and Angels, including a lofty 5.51 ERA and a 1.45 WHIP.
