Former Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has reportedly told players and coaches that he wants out of Cleveland, per Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.
"People are now surprised about what's happening, and what he's saying in Cleveland," Glazer said. "But players around league and coaches, they're not. Throughout this year, Odell Beckham has actually told other players and coaches before games 'Come get me, come get me'. Remember, it was not Odell's choice to go to the Cleveland Browns, he got traded. There are now also reports he needs sports hernia surgery. I don't see that relationship ending well for them after this year."
On Thursday, Beckham spoke to media and was unclear on his desire to be back with the Browns next season.
"No one knows what the future holds tomorrow,'' Beckham said. "I couldn't tell you what's going to happen. My locker is right beside one of the men (Jarvis Landry) that means the most to me in the world. I think about just being able to come to work and see him every single day and how special this could be. I couldn't sit here and tell you whether I'm going to be here, want to be here, don't want to be here."
In 12 games this season with the Browns, Beckham has 57 receptions for 805 yards and only two touchdowns.
In five seasons with the Giants, he had 390 receptions for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns in 59 games. He was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014 and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
