Shortly after the Jets' shocking dismissal of GM Mike Maccagnan on Wednesday, Darron Lee tweeted what can be construed as a happy reaction.

"Good Afternoon everybody!" Lee tweeted along with a smiley face emoji at 12:09 p.m.
By 12:20 p.m., Lee had deleted the tweet.
Draw your own conclusions about that...
As far as why Lee might have been better, there's the fact that the Jets reportedly declined his fifth-year option, making him eligible to become a free agent after the 2019 season.
The decision was not a surprising one because the Jets signed free-agent linebacker C.J. Mosley, who plays the same position as Lee.
When Maccagnan was asked about Lee's future at the GM Meetings in March, he did not sound very committed to the 24-year-old linebacker.
"I think it will work itself out over time," Maccagnan said.
