Who is starting for the Yankees?

LHP CC Sabathia (1-1, 2.66 ERA), who allowed two runs on five hits and struck out five, including his 3,000th career strikeout in 5.1 innings of work in a hard-luck loss against the Diamondbacks. Sabathia has allowed more than two runs just once in four starts this season.

Who is starting for the Mariners?

RHP Felix Hernandez (1-2, 4.31 ERA) is on the hill for Seattle. Once one of the most feared pitchers in baseball, Hernandez has struggled in recent years. In his last outing, Hernandez allowed four runs on eight hits in six innings, although he has struck out eight batters in each of his last two starts, though.

Upcoming schedule

The Yankees will send RHP Masahiro Tanaka (2-3, 3.92 ERA) to the mound on Tuesday while the Mariners send LHP Marco Gonzalez (5-1, 3.28 ERA) against the Bombers.
