Mets RHP Carlos Carrasco tossed five innings during a rehab game on Thursday in Port St. Lucie, Fla., reports Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.

Carrasco, who is working his way back from a torn right hamstring he suffered in the middle of March, could possibly be activated from the IL after one more rehab start.

Mets manager Luis Rojas said on April 15 -- shortly after Carrasco stretched out to four innings -- that he was still considered "week-to-week."

Aside from pitching, Carrasco has been fielding his position while rehabbing.

The Mets optioned Joey Lucchesi to the Alternate Site on April 23 and have been able to go with a four-man rotation since due to multiple off-days this week (Monday and Thursday).

However, New York will need a fifth starter on May 4 against the Cardinals in St. Louis.

The Mets will be able to call Lucchesi up to pitch on May 4 if they so choose since he will have spent the required 10 days at the Alternate Site by then.

And as it happens, Carrasco -- if he remains on an every-five-days schedule, will be lined up to pitch on May 4 (perhaps in a rehab game) and May 9, which could possibly be his Mets debut against the Diamondbacks at Citi Field if all goes well.
