The Islanders announced on Thursday that Cal Clutterbuck and Scott Mayfield both have significant injuries.
Clutterbuck will miss the rest of the year with a shoulder injury that will require surgery. Mayfield will be out four-to-six weeks with a lower body injury.
The Isles' regular season season ends on April 29.
The 34-year-old Clutterbuck, along with Zach Parise, signed an extension with the Islanders through the 2023-24 season on Monday.
Clutterbuck will finish the season with 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in his ninth season as an Islander, while Mayfield has scored three goals and handed out 15 apples this year, tying a career-high.
