Reliever Brad Brach exercised his option to remain with the Mets for the 2021, the team announced on Sunday.

The right-hander's salary will be worth $2.075 million next season.

Brach owned a 5.84 ERA (eight earned runs/12.1 innings pitched) in 2020. While that may seem inflated, six of his eight earned runs came two of his final three appearances of the season. Before Sept. 13, Brach's ERA was a minuscule 1.50 (two earned runs/12 innings).

Since joining the Mets in the summer of 2019, Brach has allowed 14 earned runs in 27 innings (4.67 ERA) while owning a 9.7 K/9.

Brach missed some of Summer Camp and the beginning of the regular season as he was recovering from the coronavirus.

Dellin Betances also has an option he can choose to exercise, while Justin Wilson and Jared Hughes are free agents.
