The Blue Jays are interested in bringing Yankees free agent J.A. Happ back to Toronto, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reported Sunday.
The LHP was with the Blue Jays from 2012-14 and 2016-18.
The 38-year-old Happ is in the twilight of his career, but he still had a solid season for New York in 2020.
In nine starts during the 2020 season, Happ held a 3.47 ERA after allowing 19 earned runs off 37 hits in 49.1 innings and struck out 42.
For his six seasons in Toronto, Happ went 59-41 with a 3.88 ERA and 691 strikeouts.
