Former Mets and current Rangers RHP Bartolo Colon suggested he could come back for a 22nd MLB season in 2019.

"If it is here, great,'' Colon said through an interpreter, according to the Dallas Morning News' Gerry Fraley. "It's better than anything. I like it here. But you never know."

Colon, 45, has struggled this season, going 7-12 with a 5.55 ERA in 26 games (24 starts) for Texas. Rangers manager Jeff Banister said, according to Fraley, after a game in September would not be the appropriate time to decide on keeping Colon in the team's rotation.

But should Colon want to play and the Rangers don't want him back, could he return to Queens?

Colon has played for 11 teams in his 21-year MLB career, which began in 1997, and his stint with the Mets (three seasons) lasted longer than all but his time with the Indians (six years) and the Angels (four).

As a Met, Colon went 44-34 with a 3.90 ERA in 98 games (95 starts), and it's fair to say he had his best moment at the plate as a Met when he hit his legendary home run in 2016.
