Islanders head coach Barry Trotz and defenseman Ryan Pulock entered COVID protocol on Tuesday, the team announced.
Trotz had just returned to the team following the death of his mother.
The Isles, who are set to return to play on Thursday against the Devils, have not played since Jan. 1.
Their game against the Kraken in Seattle on Jan. 4 was postponed along with their entire road trip through Canada that was to take place on Jan. 5 against the Vancouver Canucks, Jan. 8 against the Edmonton Oilers, and Jan. 11 against the Calgary Flames.
Those games in Canada were all postponed in an effort to save revenue for Canadian teams that are currently dealing with attendance restrictions due to COVID.
