The Yankees chipped away at the Red Sox' early lead in Game 1, but eventually fell 5-4 to go down 0-1 in the series. However, they have advanced in six of the seven ALDS they have lost the opener. ...Luke Voit collected two RBI in each of his first postseason games. He had an RBI single and beat out a potential double play last night to score two runs. ...Aaron Judge set a postseason career-high with three hits last night, including a solo homer in the ninth. ...Yankees hitters have hit three homers in their first two postseason contests.

Who is starting for the Yankees?

RHP Masahiro Tanaka (3.75 ERA/4.01 FIP, 1.13 WHIP in 156.0 innings over 27 starts), who will look to set the tone better than J.A. Happ did on Friday night. Tanaka didn't do too well against Boston last time he faced them on Sept. 20, where he allowed five runs on eight hits while striking out three over four innings at Yankee Stadium.

However, Tanaka had a great postseason last year. In the ALDS against the Indians, he didn't allow a run over seven innings, and owned a 1.38 ERA over two starts in the ALCS.

On the road this year, Tanaka has a 3.47 ERA over 85.2 innings. He has allowed 16 homers on the road, though, in the regular season.

Who is starting for the Red Sox?

LHP David Price (3.58 ERA/4.02 FIP, 1.14 WHIP in 176.0 innings over 30 starts), who has struggled in the postseason over his career. Overall, he owns a 2-8 record with a 5.03 ERA in 73.1 innings. Last season, the Red Sox didn't use him as a starter in the ALDS, but rather out of the bullpen. He didn't allow a run over 6.2 innings (two games).

Price also can't figure out the Yankees. His last start on Sept. 19 yielded six runs, four earned on five hits that included three homers on the road. He owned a 10.34 ERA against New York this season.

This is Price's first postseason start against the Yankees tonight.

What's Next

The ALDS makes its way to the Bronx for Game 3 on Monday at 7:40 p.m. It will be Luis Severino going up against Rick Porcello, depending on what happens in Game 2.
