2nd pick: QB Zach Wilson (BYU)

The Jets made a very foolish decision to beat the Rams (and the Browns.) Now, they have a dilemma. Do they select the second-best quarterback in the class or stick with Sam Darnold? It would be smart to move him for a second- or third-round pick.

Zach Wilson is a smart quarterback with good arm talent. However, there are some reported off-the-field and injury issues. I've moved Wilson up to No. 2, but the Jets could still go with Justin Fields.

23rd pick: RB Najee Harris (Alabama)

Harris was one of the top recruits in the country in 2017, and he showed off his talents as a freshman. He's been tremendous again this past season.

A Sam Darnold trade is bound to happen, and the Jets already got Wilson a receiving weapon in Corey Davis.

23rd pick: LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (Notre Dame)

Robert Saleh sees a lot of Fred Warner in Owusu-Koramoah.

2nd pick: QB Zach Wilson (BYU)

There appears to be some momentum that the Jets could stick with Sam Darnold, but I’m not buying it. Neither general manager Joe Douglas nor head coach Robert Saleh have anything to do with Darnold being a Jet and not taking advantage of holding the No. 2 pick and securing a new franchise quarterback would be a questionable decision, especially with Darnold entering a contract year. It’s time for the Jets to hit the reset button. Wilson has a skill set that’s in line with what the most dynamic young quarterbacks in the game offer.

23rd pick: CB Jaycee Horn (South Carolina)

General manager Joe Douglas continues to make strides in his second offseason on the job to improve a roster devoid of talent and things are taking form. With that said, the cornerback position is one that is a major weakness as things currently stand and an early investment in the draft is necessary. With Horn on the board in this scenario, it becomes an easy choice for the Jets. Horn is an alpha on the field that has upside in man and zone coverage.

2nd pick: QB Zach Wilson (BYU)

The Jets are rebuilding and one of the most important assets in a rebuild is money. Sam Darnold is still on his rookie contract but the end is near. By drafting Zach Wilson, New York starts the clock over with five more years of a quarterback on his rookie deal. As part of the decision, they can flip Darnold for at least a second-round pick. At this point, I would not be opposed to Washington taking a chance on him. San Francisco has been regarded as the most likely suitor, however.

23rd pick: DL Kwity Paye (Michigan)

New York signed Carl Lawson but the work is not done. They double down with Paye and turn the defensive line into a strength with Quinnen Williams.
