Five takeaways from Saturday's game...

1) James Paxton struggled on Saturday afternoon, giving up four earned runs on six hits through 5.0 innings. He only struck out four batters, the lowest total he's had in a game since July 2 against the Mets when he struck out just three. Prior to this start, Paxton had been 3-0 in the month of August with a 2.89 ERA.

2) It was a two home run game for Gleyber Torres, bringing his season total to 29 home runs. This makes it his seventh multi-home run game of the season.

3) DJ LeMahieu hit a solo home run with two outs in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Yankees a 5-4 lead. It was home run No. 20 on the season for LeMahieu, extending his career-high for home runs in a single season. His previous best was 15 home runs in 2018 with the Colorado Rockies.

4) The bullpen did a solid job holding the lead, as Adam Ottavino and Tommy Kahnle both threw scoreless innings. Zack Britton came in the eighth inning, and allowed two hits and one earned run. Aroldis Chapman sealed the deal in the ninth, throwing just 10 pitches.

5) Aaron Boone, Brett Gardner, and CC Sabathia were all ejected from the game in the bottom of the sixth inning after arguing with umpires. Sabathia is still on the IL, but is scheduled to start Sunday's game.
