In a somewhat surprising move, Bills head coach Sean McDermott announced that a "majority" of the starters will suit up Week 17 against the Jets.

This is an interesting decision by McDermott to stay the least, considering the Bills have already clinched their playoff berth and are all set at the No. 5 seed, as well.

"We talked to the team and we're going to play a majority of the guys and they're going to practice this week and they're going to play," McDermott said. "To go into detail will take some time, but the majority of guys will play, not all of them. Josh (Allen) will play."

"They're not all going to play the same amount in the game. We're going to be smart with that, but it's important that we get work in fundamentally and in terms of execution and we stay as sharp as can be."

McDermott is likely making this move to keep away any potential "rust" before the playoffs, but would be playing with fire if he kept the starters in past the first quarter.

The Jets, on the other hand, are coming into Week 17 looking to avenge Week 1's 17-16 loss to the Bills that kicked-off a rough start to the season.

Pro Bowler Jamal Adams is among the members of the Jets looking forward to the matchup.

"Yeah, we're coming after them. We huntin' man. ... It's a playoff game for us," Adams said on a conference call on Tuesday. "We hear they're going to start their starters - that's good. We're looking forward to the matchup, I can tell you that."
